Born: September 27, 1943 in Streator, IL.
Died: November 25, 2023 in Bloomington, iL.
Karen L. Schinzel, 80, of Streator passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at O.S.F. St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington with her family by her side.
Private family burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. There will be no funeral services. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born September 27, 1943 in Streator she was the daughter of Denver and Margaret (Tibbles) Schuler.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery (Krista) Schinzel of Ottawa; and nephews, Tim and Scott Schuler both of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ellis Schuler; a brother and a sister in infancy; and a nephew, Edward Schuler.
Born and raised in Streator she attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School.
She worked various jobs through the years retiring in 2018.
She was of the Catholic faith.

I´m so sorry I just heard about the loss of your Mother Karen Schinzel. She was my neighbor and lived two doors behind me. On Lucy St. I got to know her over the years because of our mine issues. Five homes are connected to the mine that drops in my yard. She was included in it and have problems every now and then. She would pull up in my driveway and I would run out and talk to her. I knew she was having issues with her health. She talked so much to me and my Sin how she just loved her stick shift cars. That was so great listening to her talk about her past. My Son thought she was so cool. You don´t hear of older ladies driving them and loving them. She was a very nice lady and I´m so sorry for your loss. May she RIP while driving her hot rods as she called then. Vicky Seroka and Son Bobby Seroka
