Larry Toler, 89, passed away November 26, 2024 at the ARC in Streator, IL.
Larry was born on February 24, 1935, son of Edgar and Wilma (Casey) Toler. He graduated from Southern Illinois University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and began a long career in Industrial Relations with Owens Illinois and Flink Company.
Larry served as a Board Member for the Salvation Army, YMCA, Streator Onized Credit Union, Streator Unlimited, and volunteered with Alternatives for Older Adults.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Phyllis Toler. Children, Bryan (Susan) Toler, Lori Toler, and Lee Toler. Grandchildren Matthew Toler and Kaitlyn (Eric) Anderson. Great grandchildren Emelia and Jacob Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and special aunt, Lillian Lingle.
Larry lived his faith each day and touched many lives with his kindness and service to others. He was a true family man who delighted in his children and grandchildren and taught them many valuable life lessons. He treasured his relationships with many dear friends and the family is grateful for their love and support over the years.
His funeral services will be held at Erven Avenue Baptist Church, Streator on Saturday December 7, 2024. Visitation at 10 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Reverend Curtis Starner officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Erven Avenue Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
