Linda Dodge
Born: March 15, 1956
Died: April 18, 2023 in Quincy, IL.
Linda Dodge, 67, of Streator passed away Tuesday, April 18th in Quincy, Illinois at her daughter's home.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 5th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Friday, May 5th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Linda attended St. Stephen's Catholic Church and graduated from Streator High School. She was co-owner of Mark's Transmission Repair and Rebuilding, Streator. She was an avid member of the YMCA and served on the Streator High School Reunion committee.
Linda was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born March 15th, 1956, in Streator the daughter of Alvin Klackho and Frances Harris. She married Mark S. Dodge on December 28, 1973, at St. Stephen's Church, Streator.
She is survived by her children, daughter Nicole (Adam) Holt of Streator, twins Danielle (David) Schlosser of Quincy and Jerritt (Elizabeth) Dodge of Streator; grandchildren, Amelia and Emma Schlosser and Cole and Avery Dodge; a brother Mark (Sandy) Klachko of Streator, a brother David (Lavetta) of Fruita Colorado, a brother John (Jakki) Klachko of Simi Valley California; and a brother Donnie Sosa of Streator.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Frances Klachko; husband Mark S. Dodge; and a sister Debra (Klachko) Hall.
Linda truly lived life to the fullest, through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, thrifting and spending time with her daughters and granddaughters. She was steeped in family knowledge and traditions. She loved a good deal and going to rummage sales.
After the loss of her high school sweetheart and husband Mark of 43 years, Linda's battle with breast cancer truly began. Her fighting spirit and strength endured throughout her treatment. She will be greatly missed by her daughters and granddaughters.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
