Linda Franzetti Obituary

Linda Franzetti
Linda Franzetti, age 86, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Ottawa, passed away recently with her loving family by her side.
A private family service was held at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Clark officiating. Pianist Sarah Reckmeyer accompanied soloist Roger Amm who sang Linda's requested hymns "What a Friend We Have In Jesus," her mother's favorite hymn, "Good Night Down Here, But Good Morning Up There," "Amazing Grace," her father's favorite hymn, and "He Touched Me" which Linda sang to Guido throughout his battle with Alzheimer's. Readings and memories were shared by members of the family. Entombment followed in Oakwood Memorial Park. A special flautist rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," a song Linda played as a solo in grade school was played as doves were released in Linda's memory.
Linda was born July 12, 1938 in Yuma, Kentucky, a daughter of Mayola (Christie) Campbell and Howard Campbell. She married Guido Franzetti, the love of her life, on December 11, 1957 at Iowa City, Iowa. Linda is survived by her adoring daughters, Kim Healy Franzetti and Diana "Dee Dee" Franzetti Kauffman of Phoenix, AZ; and her loving grandchildren, Lexy Franzetti of Naperville, IL, Victoria "Torre" Lisi of Brooklyn, NY and Landon Straziscar of Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves a brother, Dale Campbell of Nashville, TN; and sisters Joyce Redford of Morris, IL and Norma Penick of St. Charles, IL. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Guido.
Linda loved the Lord and her beautiful children and grandchildren. Although she lived most of her life in Ottawa, her passion for interior decorating and a long list of artistic and creative talents followed with her to the great Southwest. Following retirement, Linda and Guido spent winters in Arizona and eventually established residence there in 2004. Linda enjoyed playing with and entertaining her grandchildren, making every holiday special and shopping with Kim and Dee Dee. She had a deep appreciation of Christian music and was often heard singing or humming a Christian hymn. Linda was known to be very generous, extremely gorgeous, and would willingly lend her time or an ear to anyone who just needed to talk or needed a hand. She also assisted Kim over the years with various philanthropic ventures and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
