Ramona "Ann" Sheridan, 93, of Streator passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 5, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Fr. Austin Bosse will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Born August 15, 1928 in Streator she was the daughter of Clyde and Susan Wheelan. She married James R. Sheridan Sr. in 1944. He passed away in 1992.
She is survived by a son James (Cindy) Sheridan Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael (Elaine) Sheridan of Streator, Patrick Sheridan of Leander, Texas and Matthew Sheridan, Sr. of Flowery Branch, Georgia; a daughter, Barbara Craig of Glen Elyn; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons, David and Mark Sheridan; and a half-sister, Margaret Blazwich.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephens Grade School and Streator High School.
She worked for many years as a cook in the cafeteria at St. Anthony School in addition to being a homemaker.
She was a Pro-Life activist and volunteered many hours towards that cause. She also volunteered at St. Anthony School as a Jesus Grandma and would share the word of the Lord with the school children.
She was a longtime member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Ann will be dearly missed by her family.
