Died: August 19, 2021
Robert J. Opremchak, 94 of Auburn, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 at St. John's Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1927 in Virden, the son of August and Josephine Fabina Opremchak.
He married Jaunita "Millie" Taylor, and she preceded him in death on May 14, 1990. He later married Marion Bakalar, and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2015.
Robert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired coal miner.
Surviving are three children, Linda E. Loyd, Cheryl A (Rich) Blair and James R. (Diann) Opremchak; three grandsons, Jack (Misty) Crissey, Adam (Kelly Garrison) Crissey and James Blair; one granddaughter, Crystal (Bud) Kean; eight great-grandchildren; step-children, Joan Clemons, Janice (Howie) Brennan Wayne Bakalar (deceased); one sister, Theresa Gillin; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10am till time of services at 11am, Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Auburn Food Pantry or charity of your choice.
