Born: December 9, 1950 in Ottawa
Died: March 27, 2025 in Grand Ridge, IL
Ronald Laatz, 74, of Grand Ridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at his home.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 31, from 10:30am until 12:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at the Grand Ridge Cemetery.
Ronald was born December 9, 1950, in Ottawa, IL, to George and Evelyn (Horn) Laatz. He married Lynn Jackson on February 6, 1982 at Epworth United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on June 28, 2012
He is survived by his children, Sonya (Shane) Butler and Nathan (Brent) Laatz; his granddaughters, Alivia and Chelsea Butler; and his sisters, Maryellen Wilken, Elaine Duffield, and Diane Truckenbrod.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn and his wife, Lynn.
Memorials may be directed to the Grand Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.
