63 David P. Belair Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson Funeral Home - Townsend on Dec. 5, 2025.
Chelmsford: David P. Belair, 63, of Chelmsford, formerly of Townsend, died unexpectedly Monday, December 1, 2025 at his home.

David was born in Groton, August 12, 1962, a beloved son of Barbara A. (Belair) Lamkin and the late Richard D. Belair. In his youth he resided in Townsend where he graduated from North Middlesex High School in 1980 and later went on to the University of Lowell. David has been residing in Chelmsford for the last 25 years.

For many years, David worked as a successful mortgage originator for several area financial institutions. As many of his friends and family can attest, David worked tirelessly to get everyone he worked with the best mortgage rate possible. It seemed everyone who knew David, used him as their loan man, and were never disappointed.

David loved spending time with his friends and family often leaving them in hysterics with his amazing sense of humor, many referring to him as one of the funniest people they ever met. For many years he was a member of Vesper Country Club in Tyngsborough where he tried in vain to master the game of golf. David was recognized as one of the best pitchers in the State of Massachusetts his senior season at NMRHS. He was a fan of the Boston sports teams and was an avid reader of all genres.

In addition to his mother of Townsend, David leaves behind his brother, Dana Belair and sister-in-law Christine (Godin) Belair and their son Cooper of Townsend. David was predeceased by his father, Richard, whom he dearly loved and respected. David was also predeceased by his loving step father John Lamkin, and also leaves several uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

David's family will receive relatives and friends at calling hours on December 10, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 at Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, (Rte. 119) Townsend Center.

A service celebrating David's life will be held at 11:00 at Thursday, December 11th in the funeral home.
