Linda was born in Brawley, CA, September 29,1949, Linda was the youngest child of Edd and Bernita (Randolph) Taylor. She was raised primarily in Minden, NE. She attended Minden Public Schools, graduating in 1967. It was there that she would meet her future husband, Andy Schurman. The two were married in May of that year at Bethany Lutheran church in Minden. Together, they raised four children. As a devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to creating a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends. Her commitment to caring for others led her to Mid-Plains Community College to obtain her associates degree in 1987 to become a licensed practical nurse. For several years, she served as a travel nurse, working at multiple nursing homes and hospitals in the central Nebraska area before transitioning away from her profession following a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. Linda's faith was always deeply meaningful to her. Most recently, she found fellowship as a member of the Sutton Community Church. Those who knew her could attest she poured endless amounts of love into the things she made, stories she shared and time she spent. Not a day went by that she wasn't overjoyed to update friends on the lives of her family-her greatest pride and focus. Her hands were rarely still; they were busy baking her famous cinnamon rolls and incredible homemade pies, or crafting gifts. As an accomplished quilter and cross-stitch artist, her cherished creations warmed the homes of her loved ones. In quieter moments, she was an avid reader and a dedicated family historian, passionately tracing the family's heritage through genealogy. She loved having her children and grandchildren near, filling her days with their laughter and the joy of watching them grow. Welcoming her into Heaven are her husband Andy, parents Edd and Bernita, her brother Joe, foster brother Henry (Hank), several aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Angela (Greg) O'Dell of Cedar, MN; Hope Gerdes of Brookfield, MO; John (Linda) Schurman of
Sutton, NE; and Ed (Patti) Schurman of Franklin, NE.
