Stan was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence touched the lives of many throughout his lifetime.

Stan’s career was marked by his dedication and skill as a Crane Operator for Weirton Steel, and he also lent his talents as a Group Photographer, and also worked at  Mingo Medical Group, where he was known for his keen eye and warm spirit. A proud alumnus of the Big Red Class of 1975, Stan embodied a fun-loving personality, characterized by his readiness to help anyone in need. Stan is survived by his siblings, including Brenda (Anthony) Dustolfo of Bloomingdale, Salice Ann (Benny) Rusum of Douglasville, GA, William E. "Doc" (Jo Ann) Johns of Mingo Junction, OH, and Nancy Virginia (Bill) Laine of Micco, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Thomas Standford Johns Sr. and Betty Virginia (Lindh) Johns, as well as his sister Bonnie Lynn Kirk.
