Mary Alice Dooley

MOWEAQUA -- Mary Alice Dooley, 81, of Moweaqua, died Saturday (July 16, 2005) in Mattoon. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Seitz Funeral Home in Moweaqua. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Moweaqua. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 6, 1923 in Pana, daughter of Francis and Sylvia Lingenfelter Lamm. She married Dennis V. Dooley in 1944; he died in 1987. Survivors include four sons, Mike Dooley and David Oaks, both of Philadelphia, Penn., Ron of Mattoon and Sean of Decatur; one daughter, Sally Leitch of Mattoon; three sisters, Alleen Gaither of Mt. Zion, Clara Becker of Assumption and Frances Jackson of Macon; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandson. Mrs. Dooley retired from St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of the Moweaqua First Christian Church and Macon Chapter of OES. Memorials may be made to Susan Komen Breast Research.
