A.D. Sanders, 79, of Decatur passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital.
"Dee" as he was affectionately called, was born on May 23, 1943 in Oceola, Arkansas the son of Howard and Rosa Sanders.
He united in Holy Matrimony to Evelyn (King) Sanders. To this union seven children were born.
A.D. worked as a self-employed landscaper and worked other various jobs. He loved working, fishing, dancing, joking around and playing the harmonica.
He accepted Christ in his life and was a member of Perfected Prayze Ministries.
A.D. leaves to cherish his loving memories: his longtime companion, Linda Smith, children: Veda King, Deloyde (Gloria) Sanders, Tyron Sanders, Larry (Lisa) Sanders, Khemuel Sanders, Shemuel (Denise) Sanders, Daniel (Emily) Sanders, Giovanni (Tykena) Smith, James Smith and Joshua Smith, special friends: Ron Blankenship, Melvin Anderson, Roy Taylor and a host of grandchildren, great grand grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Rosie Sanders, son, Shyan Smith; brothers, Howard Sanders, Virgil Sanders; sisters, Cosella Sanders, Virginia, Ella Mae, Pauline and Nelly and grandchildren: Shemuel Sanders Jr., Khemiah Sanders, Shemilah Sanders.
