Aaron J. Andrews

Aaron J. Andrews, 44, of Wapakoneta passed away Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2025, at Hospice of Central Ohio with his loving family at his side after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. He was born May 7, 1981, in Lima, the son of Miles S. and Mary E. (Montgomery) Andrews. His mother survives in Wapakoneta, and his father is deceased.
Survivors include,
his sister, Elizabeth E. Andrews, Wapakoneta;
several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Aaron was a 2000 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, and a 2004 graduate of the Columbus College of Art & Design. An accomplished artist, Aaron worked as a bartender at the Westin, Columbus.
Aaron loved life and sought to live it to its fullest.  Even as his illness progressed he refused to let it dampen his zest and joy for finding beauty in the simple things such as finding wonder in the shape of a cloud or the shadow cast by a spider's web.  Aaron cherished the time he spent with his friends and family, be it going to concerts, hosting weekly Pizza Club gatherings, or joining folks for a cup of coffee.  He found pleasure in creating art in various forms, cooking, and gardening.  Aaron's favorite pastimes included walking his dogs and cats along the Auglaize River floodplain and swimming at Lake Amanda.  Though we are no longer able to see his light or bask in its warmth, Aaron will live on in those he loved and those who love him.
A Celebration of Aaron's Life will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Eley funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize Co.
