Mr. Aaron Shane Conner, age 38, formerly of Soperton passed away on Friday evening, April 18, 2025 at Memorial Health, Savannah.
Born in Dublin, he was the youngest of two sons born to the late William Aaron Conner and Barbara Ann Siddens Conner. Shane grew up in Soperton and was a graduate of Treutlen County High School. After high school, he attended Cosmetology School in Savannah. After graduating in Savannah, he traveled to Holland and Europe where he furthered his knowledge of hair design. Upon his return to the states, he worked in New York City where he became the sought after stylist of the elite. He and his designs were featured in a magazine for the beauty salon trade. He later returned to Savannah where he brought his unique style of designs and worked as a hair and wig stylist. Also possessing a unique flair for writing, he joined a local magazine where he quickly moved into the role of Editor and Chief. Shane lived in Savanah for most of his working years and in Soperton for a short time before most recently moving to Statesboro.
He enjoyed decorating, cooking, hand crafts and creating portraits in charcoal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Aaron Conner and Barbara Ann Siddens Conner, his paternal grandparents, James Britten "J.B." Conner and Edna Farmer Conner and his maternal grandparents, J. B. Siddens and Dorothy Poole Siddens.
Shane leaves behind, his brother, Johnny Conner, Titusville, FL, a nephew, Cameron Conner, Soperton, GA, a niece, Erica Conner (Austin Willis), Reidsville, GA, aunts, Martha Daniels, Milledgeville, GA, Opie Holland, Cobbtown, GA, Brenda Joyner, Soperton, GA, great nieces, Ava McGraw, Brayleigh Anne Conner and his life partner, Ernest Daniels of Statesboro, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from the graveside in Westview Cemetery as he is laid to rest alongside his mother.
His family will receive friends, on Saturday, following the service at the graveside.
