I will always remember my first encounter with Aaron. He was so excited to make a big difference-- to make our chip designs be much more than just "competitive". Over the years that is exactly what Aaron and his teams did. I will be forever thankful for his encouragement, ideas, and support. Last Christmas we talked about our lives and how close both of us had come to death--spending many days in the hospital and in recovery. We discussed making the most of the time we had left and what preparing for the "next life" might look like. He was always so good to talk to. His contagious enthusiasm, openness and technical savvy will be missed. He was very simply, a good friend to have.
