Aaron B. Hill, age 87, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 1, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
Mr. Hill was born September 8, 1937, in Lafayette County, MS, to the late William Henry and Mabel Springer Hill. He was a graduate of Yocona High School and attended Northwest Community College. Mr. Hill was a builder and developer for over 40 years and he owned and operated Aaron Hill Construction Company. He was a member of the Columbus Church of Christ and served as deacon of benevolence and enjoyed playing golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Keith Hill, and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Peggy Richardson Hill of Columbus, MS, sons, David Hill and his wife BJ of Olive Branch, MS, and Andy Hill and his wife Amy of Columbus, MS, daughter, Cynthia White and her husband Don of Columbus, MS, sister, Nell Allen of Jackson, MS, grandchildren, Rachel Bingham, John White, Hope Hill, Jermaine Hill, Michael Hill, Ethan Hill, Eli Hill, Drew Hill, and Lexy Hill, and great grandchildren, Maya White, Elly White, Jude White, Finn White, Ava Bingham, and Anderson Bingham.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or Columbus Church of Christ, Honduras Missions, 2401 7th St. North, Columbus, MS, 39705.
