Aaron Blair Honeycutt

1981 - 2023

Aaron Blair Honeycutt, 42, of Concord peacefully passed away from this life into everlasting life, Wednesday, June 28th surrounded by loved ones. He was born April 11, 1981 in Mecklenburg County, the much beloved son of Mo and Pam Honeycutt. He was a graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School where he excelled at baseball and being a friend to all and attended Montreat College and UNC Charlotte.
He was an amazing husband to his devoted wife, Danielle Honeycutt, and loving stepfather to his two
stepsons, Chase and Brett Sumrell.
After a long stint as the Aquatics Director at the West Cabarrus YMCA, where he left a lasting impact
with everyone he worked with and met, he went on to become an Aquatics Technician with Swim Club
Management Group (SCMG).
Aaron could almost always be found enjoying the outdoors. He loved the beach, strumming his guitar
and listening to Jack White, and being in the company of his many friends. Apart from spending time
with his wife, the thing he loved most was spending time in his Bible and in relationship with Jesus.
He is survived by his wife of almost 8 years, Danielle; stepsons, Chase and Brett Sumrell; parents, Mo
and Pam Honeycutt; brothers, Matt Honeycutt, Chris Honeycutt (Diana), and Brett Honeycutt (Alicia);
nieces, Riley, Adaline, and Bailey Honeycutt; and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held at New Hope Worship Center, 452 Brookwood Ave NE, Concord, NC
28025 on Wednesday, July 5 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends following the service.
In honor of Aaron's vibrant personality, he expressed his desire for the attendees of his celebration to
come dressed in happy colors, symbolizing the joy and happiness that radiated throughout his life.
The family would like to recognize the dedicated medical professionals who have been a part of this
journey and the amazing nurses from Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County who helped
