Aaron was born in Oakland, California. From birth, he was an energetic, inquisitive, and creative kid. He was always a dare devil! He attended Berkeley Unified School District until the family relocated to Union City, CA. He tried out baseball there which he soon gave up due to the lack of field time. Being the active and athletic kid that he was, he was introduced to "Dirt Bike" riding. He led the development and construction of a track near home where he and his friends would ride daily. He soon was participating in competitive riding in Fremont, CA where he showed NO FEAR!!!! He was very good and competitive to no ends! He won many huge trophies which bike shops displayed at their stores. If he was not on the riding trail, he and his Buddies would be exploring the nearby creek bringing home Tadpoles, baby snakes, etc. to his mom's disapproval.
Aaron liked to take things apart and put them back together again. Once he took his speakers apart "just to see how they worked" was his reply. He liked any activity that was physically challenging, different, and risk taking. He even talked about doing some mountain climbing! Most of all he loved all kinds of big or fast vehicles such as trucks, bikes etc. He had his first personal truck lifted so high a ladder seemed to be needed for anyone else to get in.
Later in life, he worked for Waste Management driving a big commercial dump truck for the Fremont and Union City area. He also would regularly pick up M.C. Hammer's dumpsters. After moving to Jackson, he worked for the city trimming trees. He had a serious car accident and started to have medical issues. Subsequently, he required Dialysis which he drove himself to but later started to drive others to theirs as well and to their other medical appointments.
Everyone who met Aaron liked him and even grew to love him. He was a kind, friendly, humorous, and giving person. He has mentored many children over the years, and some have continued their relationships into adulthood. He was recently telling his mom about a concert he had gone to and found out that she had not seen Mary J. Blige live. Without being asked, he promised to take her the next time Mary J. was in the area. The family recently also learned that he signed up years ago to be an Organ, Tissue and/or Bone donor.
Aaron leaves behind his dad, Joseph (Papa Joe) & mom, Dr. Minnie Ransom; his grandmother, Bernice Jones; his step-daughter, Marsha Runquist; his partner, Cheryl Millikan; his brother, Darrin Ransom; sister, Sharonda Ransom-Simmons: brother-in-law, Michael Simmons; nephews, Daelen & Dejan Ransom, nieces, Kaliah Simmons, Siobahn Ransom, Kaliese Simmons; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Rest in peace Aaron! We all love you and will continue to miss you! We didn't want to see you go but we know that you are in a better place!
The family would like to express their gratitude for all expressions of kindness shown throughout Aaron's recent battle after his accident and during our bereavement. We would also like you to know that everything you did or said was deeply appreciated. We would appreciate your continued prayers.
We would like to leave you with this message that Aaron had on his phone as his "Profile".
The New Year is almost here!
I pray that you may have
a relaxed mind,
a peaceful soul,
a joyful spirit,

and a heart full of Love.
Wishing you all an amazing 2025!
