Abel was a true romantic & always brought me flowers. When it is new, we are happy & it is perfect in our eyes. It's at this point love is said to be blind. We all have layers, & in those layers are idiosyncrasies that make us individuals. We choose what we want others to see of us & in turn, others see what they wish to see. To truly know someone is to be there with them during the storms in our lives & to accept them as they are, for who they are & to accept not just part, but all of them. Abel had many layers that only those of us who have been there through fair weather & storm could know. This is life. This is the best story he loved to tell. Abel worked at Foster Farms with one of his good friends. Sal Ochoa lived in Newman so when he met a woman he really liked, he went to Sal. He told him, "I tried to follow her home. She's from Newman, but I don't know how to find out anything about her." Sal said, "Well what's her name? I know a lot of people in Newman & can probably find out something for you, for a price (Sal's joke)." Liz Ceja. Sal laughed & said, "I can tell you all about her, where she lives, & I can even get you her phone number. She has lived next door to me since we were little. She's my next door neighbor." He was my husband, friend, partner, & father to & of my children. I will always have that part of him & he will be with us always. I love you & wish you safe passage to heaven.

Rest in Peace Abel. My prayers and thoughts are with Aaron, Matt, and his family during this difficult time. Abel was a good friend to me and was always good to my two sons. I am grateful to have had the chance to know him!

So sorry to hear that Abel has passed. I first met Abel at Musco where we worked together, then we ran into each other again at Ingomar. And, once at Discovery Kingdom when he was called up on stage to perform during a show. Always a lot of fun. He will be missed.

My heart is empty and I am lost. To think Id meet the love of my life in line at Winco...It was 11 months and for some hard to understand the love we shared...I myself thought it was a dream at times. Abel is generous, kind, compassionate the list is neverending. Our adventures were filled with so much laughter I will always hold those memories close. Many don't know but months into our relationship I was diagnosed with cancer having surgery and chemo. On top of working Abel took care of me...he taught me to be strong, picked me up when I wanted to sink, got me through sleepless nights hugged away my tears. I am not scared I know you will be by my side. Thank you ...I love you Mijo
