Abigail Schweter Obituary
GREENVILLE –
Abigail M. Schweter, 45, of Greenville, formerly of Saugerties, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024 under the care of the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY. Her mother and sister Amy were by her side.
Daughter of Robert F. Schweter and Agot J. Schweter, Abigail was born on June 8, 1979 in Kingston, New York. She was raised in Malden-on-Hudson, NY.
Ms. Schweter was employed by Greene County's Coxsackie Senior Center and also Meals on Wheels. She was a member of Sons of Norway.
Abigail loved nature, hiking, kayaking, and also enjoyed the arts, painting, knitting and more. She also worked on several short films.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her two children: Vaughn C. Schweter-Sinquefield and Norah S. Schweter-Clarkson. Surviving siblings are two sisters: Eva M. Wemple and Amy M. Shader.
Abigail was predeceased by her loving grandparents: Herbert and Gerta Schweter, Bjarne and Elna Livollen.
Special Thanks to The Community Hospice of Greene County and also the Staff at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital.
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. A Celebration of Abigail's life will be at a later date, to be announced by her family.
