Ace Wright Obituary

Ace graduated from Grove High School in 1964 and was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1965. He served in the Vietnam War as a sergeant in the 33 India Company and was a rifle expert that received a National Defense Service Medal and a Purple Heart. Later on in life he was granted 100% disabled veteran from his injuries during the Vietnam War.
In 1973, Ace married his loving wife, Ireliene Hawkins. Together they raised three children and built a life centered around family, faith, and community. Ace loved hunting, fishing, indian beading and leatherwork as well as being a commercial fisherman and diver. He worked on the pipeline for many years and later retired in 1982.
Ace is preceded in death by his parents, brother, and beloved son Tyson Wade Wright.
Ace is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ireliene of the home; his children Trey and his wife Trish Wright and Travis Wright; and son John Fields from Arizona; his beloved grandchildren Gracie Wright, Brett Wright, Alexis Wright, Tayton Wright, Gavin Wright and Garrett Wright; as well as his great-grandchildren Colson Wright, Lane Wright, and Creed Wright; extended family and friends.
Ace's Celebration of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm at Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 722 N. 46th St., Grove, OK 74344.
Ace's Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 11:00am, October 3, 2025 at Butler Cemetery in Grove, OK with Rev. Gary Butler officiating. Along with Ace being honored with full military honors by the United States Marines and the Grove American Legion Ritual Team.
Ace's burial will be at Butler Cemetery in Grove, OK.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 722 N. 46th St., Grove, OK 74344 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to Ace's family. Im so sorry for your loss and pray the flood of memories over a lifetime will comfort you! He always had a special place in my heart and always will! My memories will live on through our son John. In my heart I will always remember a 19 year old broken hearted young girl who had nothing but love in her heart for you! Life goes on, we grow, we learn, we forgive, and we find love again! RIP Ace and thank you for your service!
