Merry Christmas Mom!!! I wish you were here physically for the holidays!! I will receive your grace and wisdom as a gift for Christmas this year!!! You would be proud of me!! I went back to our home church and everytime your choir sings I shed a tear or two for you!! It is so hard but the love of people who truly loved you is a blessing!!! It still hurts me that you are not here!! We were just beginning a new era in our mother daughter bond!! But maybe the world could not have handled us conquering it together!! Lol!!! Thanks for sending me Shaniya she truly is you!!! Love always!!!!

Many years have come and gone but I think of Ada & pray for her family always. I walked the same Pentagon halls as Ada did but on that fatal day I was home as I had retired. My two daughters were there and as I sat watching the events takingf place on TV, my mind was on my girls and Ida who was a member of my church, Alfred Street Baptist Church. Memory of Ada's sweet spirit and smile will forever be etch in my heart and on my mind. Love always to her daughter & Son.

Ada, On the eve of the 11th anniversary of your death at the Pentagon, I am remembering the beautiful person you were and how active you were at Alfred Street Baptist Church singing in the choir and participating in our our membership group. You were so full of life and very dedicated. Your sweet spirit is missed. I pray for you and your family always. We always have a special service for you every year at church remembering the sacrifice you made on September 11, 2001. We miss you and never will forget you! Rest in Peace! May God continue to watch over your family.

I knew Ada and she was a woman of deep faith. She was positive, full of hope and always wore a beautiful smile. I miss her and wish she had followed her first instinct by not going to work 9/11/2001. Scripture teaches that there is a time and season for all things. Ecc. 3

September 10, 2010

Ada,
It is the eve of September 11, 2010. You still have a special place in my heart. It seems like it was yesterday that we stood in the Northex smiling at each other and saying, "bye." Neither of us wanted to be the first to leave. We just laughing and turning around like little kids. Who knew this woulld be the last time we would see each other on this earth.
I visited with you on the Pentagon Memorial. Though shaken, it gave me some peace. I miss you. You shall never be forgotten.

To the Acker family.
I wanted to send my condolonces for the loss of your wife, mother. While I didn't know her personally. When death occurs the thought of never again being able to talk to or laugh with. Or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. Please find comfort in the scripture located at (2 Corinthians 1:3,4)

May God continue to Bless all those who were Directly or Indirectly Affected in some way by the 9/11 Tragedy . In remembrance of ADA LEE MASON ACKER.
Auntie Necie I miss you so much, 8 years have passed but it's a constant reminder and it always just feels like yesterday you were taken from us. There was no way of me knowing that you were gone when the Pentagon was Hit as I watched it on TV, But I know it was you sending me a direct message through GOD letting me know hours after, that you already went home to be with Our Lord and you are at Peace.....I thank God for you each day for the experiences and lessons I have learned from being with you and around you through-out my life. You are up there with your Big Sis, my Gannie so I know you two mighty women of GOD are up there having a Holy Ghost filled Party each and every day because you are in the Presence of OUR GOD. I look forward to the day we will all rejoice together in the great here-after but always in the Presence of the Lord!!!! Love you always.

In memory....

Nancy Sahlberg

May 17, 2007

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Necie,

Yesterday was a hard day; but with the grace of God we got through it. I think about you everyday. You will always be in our hearts. I miss you so much. On 09/11/01 you went home to be with our Lord and savior. We will never forget that day nor will we forget the wonderful memories of you. We know that God called on of his children home to be with him and you are an angle now looking down on us everyday.

I never met Ada, but when my daughter, Marjorie Champion Salamone, visited us in Georgia, Ada would call Marjorie to discuss the daily routine in their bugeting department at the Pentagon. I often answered the phone and chatted with Ada while Marjorie was getting to the phone. Marjorie worked at the Pentagon for 10 years and died with Ada. Marjorie attended Ada's wedding, told us about the baby granddaughter whom Ada adored. We still grieve and always will. Ada and Marjorie along with the 36 others in their department who perished while "on duty" that day were truly heroes. Their families and the entire USA honor them for their sacrfice.
