Ada Dodd Chambers, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, January 19, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and the daughter of the late Levi and Hattie Allen Dodd. She is preceded in death by her sister, Cleta Ayers, and brother, Bill Justice.

Ada was a member of Cole's Cove Independent Baptist Church and retired from Young Life Windy Gap. She loved her church family very much and enjoyed traveling with church groups singing for the Lord. Ada was an avid gardener and could grow any kind of flower. She loved her husband and children and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ada is survived by her husband of 67 years, Cameron Chambers; daughter, Keitha Ruiz (Gregg), sons, Doug Chambers (Becky) and Clinton Chambers (Joyce); grandchildren, April Young (Trey), Andrea Webb (William), Amber Fisher (Joey), Cammy Wilson (Jake), and Matt Ruiz (Mercedes); great grandchildren, Gracelynn, Ashlynn, Cope, Peyton, Ava, Lucas, Saphira, and Shepherd; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, January 23, 2026, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Reverends Junior Hollifield and Steve Rhinehart will officiate. Burial will follow in Clark's Chapel Cemetery. Morris Slagle, Richard Lunsford, Christopher Dills, Mike Cogdill, Kenny Moses, and Dwayne Dills will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
