Ada Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Royal Funeral Home, Inc. - Huntsville on Mar. 19, 2023.
Ada Bell Jones began her journey in life on the 14th day of May 1948, in New Market, AL to the late Thomas "Dick" James and Annie Rosetta (McCray) Jones. She was the oldest of four: James, Betty Faye, and Larry. She was preceded in death by her half-sister, Betty Faye, and her loving daughter, Sherry Townsend.
She attended Council Training High School. She later married Milton Davis in 1966. In 1969, Milton and Ada moved to Cincinnati, OH where they spent many years making a living before moving back to Huntsville, AL in 2010 to care for their daughter Sherry.
A devout Christian, Ada has been a member of Overflow Ministries (Cincinnati, OH) and Touched by the Word Ministries here in Huntsville, AL. Through the years, she has served as a Deaconess for both churches.
Ada loved touching the lives of individuals she met. She had a very servant spirit; she enjoyed volunteering at church functions and feeding others with her delicious cakes and pies. An avid coin collector, Ada was always on the hunt for rare coins to add to her collection. She also enjoyed staying in constant contact with her family and fellow church members.
The Lord called Ada home to be with Him on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 4:30 a.m. Ada leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Milton Davis; son Stanley (Sharon); loving grandchildren, Quentin (Asha), Devon, Lauren "Lollie"; and brother, James Jones.
Her warm smile, contagious giggle, and ability to be so kind to everyone will leave an irreplaceable void. We love you and will miss you every day, MaMa (MeMe).
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Touched by the Word Ministries (2611 Pulaski Pike NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Dr. Tony Mason officiating. Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mrs. Davis will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service time.
Public viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 and 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Royal Funeral Home.
