Saturday, October 24, 2009 marked one year since my mother's death. It has been a year of emotional ups and downs but mostly of my trying to find my place in this world without my mother. I had hoped for a day of quiet and relaxation, a day of reflection. Instead the entire weekend was extremely busy and now upon reflection, I realize I was doing what my mother would have been doing, taking care of family and friends. I am thankful daily for all that my parents did for me. Mostly teaching me what is really the substance of life! I LOVE YOU!

This has been a jouney for me. I truly miss my mother. Each day that passes, I realize what a remarkable woman she was and against the odds all the she and my father accomplished. I am sad today but I know she has now rested from this world of strife. Thank you Mommie for everything, mostly the insight on what is truly important in this life. I love you!

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Dear Hannah, I am very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. I know you will miss her in many ways. I hope good memories will bring you comfort. I remeber her as being the best cook. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
