Ada Laverne Arrington Nichols

Ada Laverne Arrington Nichols 1918 – 2012 Ada Laverne Arrington Nichols, age 94, of Waynesville, NC passed away, September 23, 2012 at the Brian Center of Waynesville. She was born on June 17, 1918 to the late Oscar T. and Kate Erwin Arrington. For a short time, Ada was a beautician in the State of Washington and later becoming a homemaker in Haywood County. She was also a member of the Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by, husband, Louie Nichols, sisters, Nellie Arrington Smathers, Pauline Arrington, Thelma Josephine Arrington and a infant baby sister, brother, Robert Oscar Arrington, and a infant baby girl. Survivors include, sister, Bessie Hooper, brother, Clarence Arrington, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at the Pleasant Balsam Baptist Church with the Reverend Bobby Downs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow services at Saunook Plott Cemetery.
