Ada Rock

IRON MOUNTAIN - Ada Rock, 92, of 810 River Ave. in Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford. Ada was born April 18, 1915, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Ubaldo and Lucia Bartoletti. She married Donald Rock on Jan. 24, 1938, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2006. Ada was a lifelong resident of the area and a longtime member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ada worked for Rocheleau's Bakery, D and B Warehouse and the Dickinson Inn. She and her husband also owned and operated Rock's grocery store on West D Street in Iron Mountain. Ada was a great cook and enjoyed making pasties and raviolis. She also enjoyed crocheting, making various crafts and going to the casino. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara DeClark of Aurora, Wis.; four sons, James (Mary) of Kingsford, Duane (Vicky) of Norway, David (Julie) of Iron Mountain, and Albert (Deborah) of Green Bay, Wis.; two brothers, Adolph Bartoletti of Green Bay, Wis. and Louis Bartoletti of Milwaukee; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ada was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Orlando Bartoletti and two sisters, Emelia Nelson and Carrie Russatto. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr.
