Adaline Smith was born on June 22, 1958 in Duplin County Hospital. She departed this life to be with her Heavenly Father on June 1, 2025.
Adaline was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She received her education from the Sampson County School system. She loved to cook, sing, and dance. Her favorite food was fish. Adaline loved her children, grandchildren, and extended family very much. She loved to gather with family and was always the life of the party.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Esther Smith; her father: Jerry Smith; brother: Ivy Smith; and grandson: Andrew Bryant.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son: Jeffrey Smith (Teresa) of the home; one daughter: Sharmaine Smith of Clinton, NC; 8 grandchildren: Quanisha, Ryheem, Takeya, Jaquon, Taneya, Destani, and Ke'rra; 2 great-grandchildren: Jordan and Mila; god-daughter: Toneika; nine sisters: Annie, Darlene, Catheline, Julia, Cora, Joyce, Brenda, Linda, and Carrie; and one brother: Charles (Mamie).
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Wilson Chapel Church, 4771 New Hope Church Rd, Turkey, NC 28393. Burial will follow immediately after the service in the church cemetery.
Visitation will take place 2:00-6:00 pm, family present 5:00-6:00 pm, on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
