In memory of
Laurie and Dan Empey
October 20, 2018
We are neighbors to the warm and wonderful Felt family and ashamed to say we just now, today, heard of Adam's passing. Our hearts break for Eric and Joyce, his brothers and the family, friends, and so many lives he touched.
We know how much he is, and will be missed. He was a bright star!
With deepest sympathy,
Laurie and Dan Empey

I was Adam's Roommate. He was my best friend. I miss him so much. The thing I remember about him the most is his smile, and the way he'd go out of his way for me, even when he didn't need to. He even helped me get my most current job. He helped me when I didn't have a place to stay. I wish I could have been there for him, like he was there for me.

Adam Felt was my brother, a true friend. He just couldn't feel how much he was loved. I don't think he would've understood how much a hole in hearts of people who loved him. We all loved him so much.

My sincere condolences on the loss of your dear son Adam. Death is never easy, especially son when it's your child. A Bible verse that always bring me hope and comfort is "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Revelation 21:4

I worked with Adam at Instructure. It's shocking to hear what he was going through. I never know what to say. Enjoy the memories that he brought you, and take comfort in knowing that he lives on through all of us, through the influence he gave everyone that knew him. That will never be lost.

So sad. I didn't know him for that long, but I do remember what an amazing pianist and scientist he was. He inspired me to do better at both (I've played the piano for 15 years and I'm studying chemistry in college). He was better than anyone at the piano, and I imagine he was similarly talented and impressive with his computer skills. I hope the family will be okay!

I truly enjoyed the summers Adam spent in the lab with me. He was inquisitive, put in the effort to understand the bigger picture, and excellent at benchwork, as well as just fun to have around. The world is a little less bright without Adam in it. My heart aches for your loss.

In my class, as the obituary so beautifully stated, Adam was indeed brilliant, with an ever-present twinkle in his eye. I remember the little smile he'd get when he was about to ask me a zinger-- ha! He kept me on my toes, and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
