I met Adam through his music, I can tell a kind soul and the most brilliant of his generation, see you in Hackensack Adam.

We are saddened for the loss of your dearly beloved Father, Friends, Fans and all of those whose lives he touched as an American singer-songwriter, record producer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and drummer. May the God of tender mercies, love, peace and comfort be with you all during this most difficult time.

Please accept my deepest condolences. A brilliant musician and was loved by many. May God and fond memories continue to provide comfort and peace to your family today, tomorrow, and always.

The music you created with Ivy and Fountains of Wayne is part of the soundtrack of my 90s and 2000s and evening now. Thank you for all that you have done and leaving us a legacy of wonderful music. You will truly be missed.

Adam... you made me fall in love with each instrument of your records, especially Ivy's. Thanks to you, my life became less stressful with all my playlist. I'll always remember you. You're part of my heart and I will always support your bands as I've done until now. You were the soundtrack of my life. Rest in peace man.

Wow! I went to high school with Adam; He was always a really cool and approachable guy. I will miss him, a good dude.

My heart is so sad for Adams family. We were childhood friends and I remember Adam used to play the piano and sing for me when we were kids. I was always so proud of him and happy for his success. Never surprised though , as he was Always a gentle soul with immense talent even at 10 years old. Sincerest condolences.

The news of your passing just breaks my heart. We grew up together in Montclair. You were always so kind and funny. Such an incredibly talented musician and so passionate about all that you did, even in school. My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family. Our hearts goes out to Adams family. Just so sad to see his life cut short. We pray that God continues to strengthen and comfort you all during this extremely difficult time.

This is for Steve Schlesinger, Adams dad, who graduated Bayonne High School with me in 1960. I was devastated to read of your sons passing this week. I too have a son who is a successful musician in the commercial advertising business and cannot imagine what you are going through now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. David Schnitzer

I'm not the familiar with Fountains of Wayne, but I'm indebted to Adam for helping to bring back the Monkees in glory in 2016 for their 50th anniversary with their album Good Times. (He was a producer & songwriter for that album.)

This is a tough loss. The work Adam did with Fountains of Wayne was nothing short of brilliant. I had the good fortune to see Adam and the band at a street festival in Chicago in the early 2000s and I will never forget the energy and passion they brought to their performance. To his family, friends and band mates, past and present, my sincere condolences for your loss.

The world has lost a talented man and my son, Justin, has lost a dear friend. Sympathy to his family

So sorry your gone. I only heard yesterday that you were sick. So sad! Meet my brother in the afterlife and play some music with him.

I am sorry regarding the loss of your loved one .Music is such a amazing thing, it lifts one's spirit in life. It's terrible that an artist is struck down at such a young age. May the God of Comfort, continue to comfort the family, during these difficult times.

The world has lost a wonderfully talented musician and great person. He clearly was very gifted and I am grateful for his music but sad because his life was too short. He had so much more to give. Heaven has just gained another musical master.
