Mr Tumbrink: You were my third hockey coach when I was 11 years old. But you were the first hockey coach who actually encouraged me and convinced me to play as hard as I could and to accept my performance and to
enjoy the experience. Had you not come along, I would never have picked up a hockey stick again. Being a (worthy) member of your team gave me the insight and confidence to appreciate myself and realize that I was a young man worthy of loving. My family moved from Missouri after being on your team for one year, but the exposure and experience of your mentorship shaped my life forever. I am a success today because of YOU, Sir. How lucky I was to have crossed your path.

Adam there’s not a day on this earth that in someway you do not come to my mind. if it’s a joke or if it was just somebody telling someone something, and it always reminded me of our stories, and the time we got to share on this earth! I look back to the times that we work together, and I have pictures of jobs that we have done that started out as if we may not complete it, but in the end of the day whatever the task or challenge was you and I would get the job done. Adam I know you were watching over us, over your family and over your friends and all I can say... is wherever you are I wish you nothing but happiness and eternal life! because you were a great man and we may have lost you physically here on this earth, I know you are in the hearts of many because your memory lives through us,and all the wonderful times you gave us, when we were with you Adam! watch over your family and be proud because that is your legacy! you did everything for your family! whatever it took and I honestly that’s honor! Well for now I wish you’re family strength and perseverance through these days and good health and to rejoice in the good times we had with you till we meet again much love your friend Jake

God bless you, Adam. You are sorely missed by countless people that knew and loved you.
I will forever see you as the cute little boy that grew up with my girls. We had great fun as young families, and your mom and I still erupt in laughter as we reflect on those wonderful childhood years.
Rest in peace, beautiful Adam, as your memory continues. May God ease the broken hearts of those you leave behind.

Adam, The first time that I ever saw or held you was when I flew home from overseas some 18,000 miles away from a tiny island called Diego Garcia. To have had the honor of not only being your uncle, but to have also been asked by my brother Terry to be your Godfather was an absolute honor, privilege, and a joy. Anyone that knew you was aware of your charismatic personality and that infectious smile that make the darkest room brighten up like a the morning sun coming up over the horizon. You always donated your time for causes to help the less fortunate. This pales in comparison of all of the other things you did for everyone alike whereas you touched their lives in one way or another. All of the children that you coached and mentored where lined up at the church when your casket was brought out for your final journey to your resting place along side your father. What an amazing tribute it was to see this honor guard of young kid's in their hockey jersey's to show you their admiration, respect, and appreciation for your efforts and accomplishments as a hockey coach, mentor, and as a friend. I hope that the Almighty in Heaven with his love and wisdom heals the broken hearts left behind of your wife Nicole, children Brett, and Chole, Nancy (mother), Elizabeth (sister) and all of the rest of your family members. This includes your best friend Shannon. Nobody outside your immediate family loved you more than this man. I thought that several times that he was going to collapse like he was the only one carrying the burden of your untimely loss. A heartfelt thanks to all that left a note of remembrance or a kind thought or expression on this page and those who attended his wake, mass, and the 137 vehicles in his funeral procession to his final resting place. God Bless you one and all.

There are people we never meet but feel like we know because of the impact they have on those important to us. Adam you were one of those people. You made a huge impact on those you came in contact with and even some of us who never had the privilege of meeting you. I have no doubt that you were an amazing father, husband, friend, coach, and philanthropist. May your legacy live on through you wife and children.
Nicole, Brett, and Chole may you feel the love, comfort, strength and support to endure the difficult times ahead. You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as you process this tragic loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing Adam and his family most of my childhood and adult life. He could always fill a room with laughter, and his quick wit and humor seemed to be never ending. I, among many, was shocked and devastated to hear of his passing. The world lost an amazing friend to many. To me, he will be remembered as a man full of life and spirit. Nancy, my heart goes out to you as your mourn his loss. Nicole, may God give you strength in the days ahead with your sweet children, and time you need for yourself to grieve. To everyone else in Adams family , my deepest condolences are with you. And to Adam , may your sweet soul forever Rest In Peace.

Tumbo. You will be sorely missed brother. You were always there at good times or bad to make me laugh and have a good time. You made my high school year's. There is not one moment I would change. I cherish the fact that you passed your horsemen legacy down to me and that I kept your legacy going after your graduation. You really had such an incredible inspiration on me that I started living my life like you. Always have a smile and make people happy and smile too. It works and can be contagious in a good way. I love you brother. Be in peace.

Hard to believe it was almost 30 years ago that I first met Adam as his hockey coach at Creve Coeur. One of the most enjoyable coaching experiences of my career and "Cement Head" was a character I always remembered fondly. It was very gratifying to see him give back to the game as a coach at Chesterfield so many years later. My deepest sympathies to the entire Tumbrink family.
