Adelaida Salinas Infante entered eternal rest on December 29, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on December 16, 1933, in Mexico, Adelaida carried with her the warmth and vibrant spirit of her origins throughout her life. Her passing has created a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her legacy of love, joy, and motherly care shall forever remain.
She is survived by her children: Mario Salinas, Bernardino Castillo, Oralia Salinas, Martin Salinas, Maria Alfaro, Sofia Rangel, Juana Cepeda, Elisa Trevino, Jose Luis Salinas, Juan Infante, and Lupe Infante. Additionally, her love extended to her sister, Alejandra Rocha, along with her 43 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom have been touched by her profound kindness and joyful spirit.
Adelaida embodied a loving, caring, and motherly nature; her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter and warmth. She had a passion for gardening, finding peace amongst her plants, and her love for dancing brought joy to many. The color lilac, so vibrant and full of life, mirrored her personality and can be seen throughout the lives she influenced.
Adelaida is preceded by her daughter, Prudencia Andrade, her son, Basilio Salinas, and her siblings. They welcome her home with open arms.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Trevino Funeral Home, located at 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A Rosary will commence at 4:00 PM on the same day. Monday, visitors can continue to honor her memory with visitation starting from 8:15 AM to 1:00 PM. Mass will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2800 Rockwell Dr., Brownsville, Texas, 78521, at 2:00 PM, thereafter proceeding to her final resting place at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd, Brownsville, TX, for burial at 3:00 PM.
May Adelaida rest in eternal peace, her joyous spirit forever living on in the hearts of those she loved.
