Adelaido "Lalo" Ramos, Jr., a cherished soul, entered eternal rest on November 18, 2025, leaving behind a tapestry of love and memories with his family. Born on December 13, 1938, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Adelaido was the beloved son of Adelaido Ramos, Sr. and Ventura Hernandez Ramos. He touched the lives of many with his warm spirit and unwavering dedication.
Adelaido was preceded in death by his dear parents and his son, John "Tony" Ramos. He is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Ann Alfaro Ramos, whose companionship illuminated his days. Together, they created a beautiful family that includes their surviving children, Debra Ramos Smith, Dorothy Guzman, Richard Carrasco, Marcus Carrasco, Dolores Melendez, and Rosanna Carrasco; thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
For 45 years, Adelaido dedicated himself to Martin Marietta, a testament to his commitment and work ethic. Yet, it was within his family that he found his truest joy, spending countless hours creating memories and sharing laughter with those he cherished most.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, with the Memorial Rosary to be recited at 10:00 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church of Lytle, Texas. As we come together, we will remember his vibrant spirit, recount stories that made us smile, and find comfort in the connection we all shared with him.
In the gentle embrace of our memories, Adelaido will forever remain a guiding light-a steadfast presence in our hearts. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
