Adele Narron Curtis, 91, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025. She was born in Johnston County on October 10, 1933, to the late Dewey Nelson Narron and Hettie Davis Narron.
Adele was the wife of a lifelong farmer who devoted her life to her family by continuously providing loving care. In addition to being a farmer's wife, she was a buyer and manager at Boylan Pearce and Belk department stores. Upon retirement, she continued serving her community through Community Helpers of Knightdale, helping those in need. She will be missed by those who knew her, as she was good to all.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Ed Patton; daughter-in-law, Lora Curtis; grandchildren: Tony Curtis, Jr., Sandy Adele Salazar (Nickolas), Denise P. Denton (Keith); great-grandchildren: Brayden, Michael, Presley, and Anna Curtis, Leia and Violet Salazar, Jolee, Anna, and Emma Denton; and many loved family members.
In addition to her parents, Adele was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Curtis; her children: Jonnie Sandra Curtis, John Wesley Curtis, Jr., Tony Lynn Curtis, Sr., Judy Curtis Patton; grandson, Jonathan Patton; and siblings: Dewey Nelson Narron, Joyce Doris Narron, Ishmael Worth "Skin" Narron, Ellene Narron, and Charles Narron.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Vision Baptist Church, 7633 Buffaloe Rd, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Vision Baptist Church Building Fund or Duke Children's Hospital.
