Adele Lorraine Davis was born on March 24,1936 to Ora and Claude Spence, the 9th of 11 children in Brooklyn, New York. Adele met her husband, Johnny Davis in May 1957 while he was stationed at nearby Floyd Bennett Field. They married on September 14, 1957 and moved to Long Beach, California in December 1957 before ultimately settling in the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area.
Adele was a devoted mother to children Karen and John, volunteering with many of their activities, serving as PTA President at Bay View Elementary School and Y Indian Maidens with Karen. She returned to the workforce in 1969, working various jobs before joining Pacific Mutual Life as a clerk before climbing the ladder to Policy Services Supervisor. She then joined Advantage Underwriters as Manager of Administration. She retired in 1994 as Vice President from US Benefits.
Adele is survived by her husband of 68 years, Johnny Davis, children Karen (Bob), John (Katie), grandchildren Sean, Dana (Jeffrey), Madison, great granddaughter Theresa, brother Richard (Ann) Haas, Sister in law Frances Spence, and many nieces and nephews.
