Glenda 'Cile Hunter Mastin passed from this life May 17, 2007, Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine, Texas. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Geeslin Funeral Home, 209 West Sul Ross Avenue, Alpine, TX 79830. Glenda was born Aug. 24, 1939, to Martha Celeste Williams Hunter and Joseph Matthew Hunter Jr. She was an award winning teacher in D.I.S.D. for 10 years and a member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. She is known for an abiding faith in God, being silly, being a lover of dancing and music and for red lipstick. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Kathryn Louise "Katy" Hunter Evans. She is survived by her husband, Robert Henry Mastin; brother, Joseph Matthew Hunter III; son, Eldridge Nobles Goins of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Celeste Goins and John Nyberg of Tyler, Texas, and Elizabeth Goins and Staley Cates of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Christopher Nyberg, Edward Cates, John Trevor Nyberg, Margaret Cates and Elizabeth Nyberg; her nieces and nephews, Laura Leuschner Cole, Carla Leuschner Richardson, Glenn Leuschner, Mark Leuschner, Michelle Hunter Sayre, Becky Evans Hamm and Whitney Hunter.
