Funeral services for Adeline Kieschnick, 85 of Lincoln, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lincoln with Rev. Dale Bohm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Adeline Mildred (Drager) Kieschnick was born on September 14, 1936 in Manheim, Texas, the daughter of Fredrick Samuel Immanuel Drager and Linna Emma (Brade) Drager. She was baptized at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Manheim and confirmed on May 13, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hereford, Texas by Rev. Edmund Lichtfsinn. On September 25, 1955, Adeline was united in marriage to Herman F. Kieschnick Jr. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hereford. Following Herman's death in 1980, she married Elmo Kieschnick on January 9, 1982 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Manheim. Adeline worked as a longtime bank teller working at several financial institutions including Smithville Savings and Loan and Lee County National Bank throughout the years. She enjoyed baking, tending to her flowers, sewing, making noodles, gardening, pickling, and canning. She was always sharing her vegetables with family and friends. The grandchildren fondly enjoyed her royal icing roses.
Adeline passed away the evening of Friday, April 15, 2022 in a Bryan hospital.
She was preceded in death by parents, F.S. & Linna Drager; her two husbands, Herman Kieschnick Jr. and Elmo Kieschnick; her son, Wayne Kieschnick; her brother, Delbert Drager; her grandson, Jeffrey Martin, and her grandson-in-law, David Richardson.
Adeline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia & Leonard Boriack of Lincoln; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald & Holly Kieschnick of Lincoln and Charles & Lauren Kieschnick of Fenton, Missouri; her eleven grandchildren, Michelle Krause & her husband, Brandon of Giddings, Dustin Kieschnick & his wife, Denise of Giddings, Ashli Hartranft & her husband, Steven of Giddings, Johnathan Kieschnick of Lincoln, Antoinette Winkles & her husband, Bryan of Giddings, Yvonne Labay & her husband, Cody of Magnolia, John Boriack of Lincoln, Chris Boriack & his wife, Gabby of Lincoln, Alyssa Younger and her husband Kyle, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Caitlyn Kieschnick of Fenton, Missouri, and Kristen Kieschnick of Fenton, Missouri; her fourteen great grandchildren; her sister, Janalee White of Giddings, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Servings as pallbearers will be John Boriack, Chris Boriack, Brandon Krause, Steven Hartranft, Cody Labay, and Dustin Kieschnick.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice.
