TADDEO, Adeline S. (Tarani) Of Medford, June 10, 2025. She was 98 years old. Beloved wife of the late Biagino "Gene" Taddeo. Devoted mother of Thomas and Ronald Taddeo of Medford, Leonard Taddeo and his wife, Joanne of Somerville and Gina Silva and her husband, John of Medford and Windham, NH. Adored grandmother of Michael Taddeo and his wife, Kristen and Nicole Iacabone and her husband, Roger; and the loving great-grandmother of Avery and Cameron Taddeo and Sofia and Dominic Iacabone. Dear sister of the late Edmund, Arthur and Robert Tarani. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graduate of Medford High's class of 1943; Adeline majored in business and after graduation worked in the business operations departments at First National Stores and later A & P. Adeline was a kind, warm-hearted person, who was known for her generosity. There is no greater evidence of this than her decision to donate a kidney to one of her brothers. This was remarkable considering how new the procedure was in 1973, and how few transplants had been done at the time. Her joy and positive outlook on life was contagious. Adeline loved her family; she especially adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very outgoing and loved to talk to new people. In later years, she became a regular at the Medford Senior Center and enjoyed the company of so many wonderful people that joined her for bingo every Wednesday afternoon. Adeline loved to cook and entertain family and friends, especially for the holidays and birthdays. They loved her biscotti and pizzagaina! Visiting Hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, on Wednesday, June 18, from 9-11AM, followed by a Funeral Mass to be held in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, MA, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
