Adolph Gilbert Castillo “Frito”, 40, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Monday, November 24, 2025, at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road chapel. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 12-2 pm prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Adolph “Frito” Castillo was born on February 23, 1985, to Adolph Castillo Jr. and Eva Meza in Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Champs Academy in 2003 and soon began his career in the oil field. Frito was the lighthearted goofball of the family, always ready with a joke—though he preferred not to be the target of anyone else’s. Beneath his humor was a deeply kind and generous spirit. He would give anything to help someone in need, even the shirt off his back. A man of unwavering faith, Frito loved the Lord wholeheartedly and knew the Bible inside and out. His prayers were heartfelt, sincere, and often among the most beautiful words anyone could hear. Frito loved with his whole heart. His nieces and nephews were especially precious to him, and he cherished each of them deeply. A true mama’s boy, he was lovingly spoiled by his mother throughout his life. Though he was the middle child, he shared a close and special bond with both his older and younger sisters. He leaned on them often and was truly grateful for all they did for him.
Frito was preceded in death by his father, Adolph Castillo Jr.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his girlfriend, Tommie Ann Tijerina; his mother, Eva Meza; his brothers and sisters, Jason Castillo, Elmer Trillo and girlfriend, Magaly Castaneda, Luisa Perez and husband, Mario, Tiffany Alvarez and husband, Ramero and Esteban Gonzales and several nieces and nephews and extended family members who will all miss him greatly.
