I met Adrian in the summer of 2004 through our friend Evan Chimarios. 2004 to 2012 was the worst time period of my life filled with high anxiety. Adrian's friendship brought comfort during those hard times. I remember long drives to Malibu beach and reminiscing to music from the 1990s. I am so deeply saddened to find out today 10/15/2013 he had passed away.
May you rest in peace Adrian.

This was my eulogy at Adrian's funeral service. I meant so much that I could read this to him, our family, and friends.
"Since Adrian passed away, the outpour of support and prayers from family and friends has been tremendous. I honestly cannot say 'thank you' enough for everyone's kind words, memories of Adrian, and presence here today and throughout the past two weeks. You have helped our entire family cope with his loss and turned this difficult time into a celebration of my brother's life.
In the last week, I tried to write a eulogy that appropriately reflected my relationship with Adrian. I did not have the same relationship with him that Mando did or even with some of you in this room, so needless to say, writing this was difficult to do. The easiest way to express my feelings about my brother was to write a letter that said things that I wish I did when he was still with us. I know that it may be late, but I know that he is looking down on us and listening.
Dear Adrian,
We lived completely opposite lives. You lived on a whim; I needed mine planned. You loved to “kick back and relax” and I was a bit more high-strung. You sought after immediate gratification, and I thought you needed to work hard to earn things. You were my big brother, yet I acted like yours.
As we got older, these differences pulled us farther apart. In adulthood, I felt that I knew less of who you were. Although we did not have the best relationship, I found solace in that fact that we had a lifetime to make things better...and I was okay with that. We did not have a strong bond now, but I knew that one day we would. With your passing that opportunity is gone (too soon and too quick) and it breaks my heart that I cannot change things between us.
I have struggled with that for the last two weeks. I think back to past conversations and events and realized that in your own subtle way, you were trying to be a part of my life. I am overwhelmed by the sadness I feel for not trying to mending things sooner.
I do not want any regrets with you and so this letter is to say that I am sorry. I am sorry for things that have happened, did not happen, or said between us. I am sorry for things that we won't get to experience together in the future. I may shown or acted like I never learned from you, but you actually taught me more than you will ever know. I only hope that you knew how much I supported you and prayed for your well-being. I always had your back and always will.
I will miss you big brother. Go rest now."
Rest In Peace Adrian.

I will miss every single recycled conversation with you. I hope that in your new beginning you have retained it. If not, let the Lord show you the way and the light. While you're time is done in here, Our time will tick on carrying with it your memory. I'll always have you in my heart and you'll always be in my thoughts. My heart is full knowing you are in good hands. This time, I'm calling you back, "It's 12:09 am, Sunday. just letting you know, I love you. Okay, good night".

First and foremost, I want to extend my most heartfelt condolences to the Boquiren Family. I spent many a nights, days and weeks during my childhood on Hubbard Street. Mands -I Love you! I will pray for you all...much love always!
Adrian, I must have typed this 20 times and then erased it because my words cannot begin to express how much you have meant to me in my life. All I can say is, thank you for being my true friend for 25 years (and counting). Here is to the most honest, humble, compassionate, funny and loving person I have ever known. I will miss you terribly and my heart breaks that I will not be there to see you off tomorrow. All the boys will be there though, and I will be thinking and praying for you bro. May you rest in peace forever...I love you Adrian!
