Adrian L. Byers

Adrian L. Byers, age 63, of Kelly Road, Forest City, NC, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Adrian was born February 1, 1956 in Mecklenburg County to Lucille Byers Roberson who resides in Forest City and to the late Walter "Slick" Byers. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1974 and worked for AFA Industries for many years. He also worked as a Realtor and as an associate at Lowes. Adrian was a member of Caroleen United Methodist Church. He was a CB radio enthusiast and enjoyed working on his computer. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include one sister, Lisa Byers Harris of Forest City; uncle, Garland Byers and wife, Helen of Forest City and three nieces, Mandy Hudson, Rebecca Hickman (Tyree) and Tabitha Marks (Zachery) all of Forest City. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Caroleen United Methodist Church with Reverend Roy Byers and Reverend Norma Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church auditorium an hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Caroleen United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 187, Caroleen, NC 28019.
