Adrian Boon Leng Goh

Adrian Boon Leng Goh was born in Singapore on August 5, 1940. He attended St. Michael's School and then Saint Joseph's Institute in Singapore. He went on to attend the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, where he secured his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering. Adrian returned to Singapore and married Mildred on October 3, 1971. They enjoyed almost 50 years of dancing together. Adrian was a loving father to May, Mark, Alison, Oliver, Shauna and Derek, and "Kong Kong" to his grandsons, Alex and Max. His grandsons will remember wrestling with their Kong Kong, celebrating left-handed supremacy and learning how to do the All Blacks' Haka from him. Most of all, they will remember his deep belly laughs, great big hugs and wry sense of humor. Adrian enjoyed life to its fullest and everyone has fond memories of sharing many meals and drinks with him in various locations around the globe. Although happiest when sharing a good meal with family and friends, Adrian also treasured his time on the golf course and enjoyed many rounds of golf with friends before and after finally retiring in Reno, Nevada. Adrian and Mildred were avid travelers and criss-crossed the globe together. From traveling through the Panama Canal to climbing Machu Picchu, drinking German beer in Bavaria to learning the hula in Maui or snorkeling in Bora Bora, they enjoyed their travels together and really enjoyed their retirement. The whole family traveled together when they could, spending time in Hawaii, celebrating Christmas in Germany, going down the Avon River in a houseboat, exploring the various distilleries in Scotland, drinking Guinness and Jameson in Dublin, and even renting an RV to drive around New Zealand. He loved watching sunsets and staring out at the horizon, "where the sky meets sea," as he would say. He passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2015 surrounded by his family. A hui hou kakou.
