Adrian Nicholas Hansen, 15, of Chesapeake, passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2025. Born on March 27, 2010, in Tampa, Florida. Adrian was a freshman at Western Branch High School, where he was known for his quiet demeanor, yet compassionate, generous character. Adrian was a straight-A student, a voracious reader, and excelled in math. He also loved collecting Pokémon cards, playing Pokémon Go with his family, cooking, traveling, bike riding, and caring for his two cats and two dogs.
Adrian is survived by his loving parents, James and Nicole Hansen; his younger brother Anderson; and his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom cherished him deeply. In lieu of monetary or floral donations, feel free to donate Pokémon cards in Adrian's honor at the memorial service. The Hansen family will deliver them to the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.
Although his time with us was brief, Adrian's kind and gentle spirit will continue to touch the lives of those who knew him. He will be missed and loved eternally.

I had the privilege of being Adrian's 8th grade Honors English teacher. Adrian was an outstanding student; he was a strong writer and thoughtful, analytical reader. His intelligence shone through in the way that he picked up on even the most challenging concepts quite easily. Even more importantly, Adrian was an outstanding human being. He was always kind to everyone in our classroom. You wouldn't need to know Adrian for long to see that he cared deeply about other people and wanted to do what he could to make people feel positive and welcomed. I will never forget Adrian's kindness and (I'm glad to say) his sense of humor. I won't forget Adrian's laugh as he shared a practical joke he was planning or had already done. I am thankful that I got to be a small part of his time here. To his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is ever anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to reach out.

With much love,
Meredith Denbow

I was Adrian´s 8th grade science teacher. He was a teacher´s dream student. He easily excelled at the subject, worked hard, and helped others. Adrian was very intelligent and dedicated to learning and earning the highest grades possible. He was always kind to his peers and an amazing student to have in class. I am so sorry for your loss.
