Adrian Kuzdas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation - Garden Chapel on Mar. 2, 2026.
Adrian Charles Kuzdas passed peacefully from this life on February 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, intellect, devotion, and deep love for those closest to him.
Adrian was born on July 21, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Charles Witt Kuzdas and Agnes Voermans Kuzdas. He grew up in St. Louis, where he developed a lifelong love of baseball, playing throughout his youth and high school years. He also enjoyed archery and carried with him a competitive spirit balanced by quiet determination.

Adrian attended the University of Missouri–Rolla, where he studied electrical engineering. During his college years, he became an avid spelunker, mapping caves for the U.S. government, an early sign of the precision, curiosity, and discipline that would define his professional life.

While working at Pizza Hut and Taco Kid, Adrian met the love of his life, Maureen Ellen Cazier. Their courtship led to marriage in August of 1972, beginning a partnership that would span decades and bless their family with strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Adrian joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after gaining a testimony of the doctrine of eternal families, a belief that shaped every priority and decision throughout his life.

Adrian built a distinguished and highly successful career as an electrical engineer. He worked for Motorola, VLSI, and Microchip, contributing his expertise during pivotal years in the semiconductor industry. He was responsible for many patents, and was respected for his brilliance, steady leadership, and integrity. Though accomplished professionally, he was never defined by titles or achievements. His greatest pride was always his family.

Together, Adrian and Maureen raised six children: Heather Anne Kuzdas Sutton (born 1973, passed 2016) (Jayson), Tiffany Michelle Kuzdas Cavalieri (Jimmy), Kristy Lynn Kuzdas Williams (Tyler), Jennifer Elaine Kuzdas Ellsworth (Kevin), Afton Nicole Kuzdas West (Cam), and Kenneth Adrian Kuzdas (Kristel Wray). He delighted in watching his children grow, marry, and build families of their own.

Adrian's life was marked by devoted service in his church. He served faithfully in many callings including Elders Quorum President, member of a Bishopric, High Councilor, Stake Clerk, and Sunday School Teacher. He and Maureen dedicated seven years as Directors of the Mesa Family History Center, along with additional years serving in various family history roles. Helping others connect with their ancestors became one of his great joys and spiritual callings.

Family was the center of Adrian's world. He treasured family game nights (especially spirited rounds of Phase 10) family gatherings, zoo lights, fireworks displays, dive-in movies at home, fishing trips, baseball games, and air shows. He loved aviation, baseball (especially talking statistics and history), and any excuse to gather the people he loved in one place. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a particular source of pride and happiness. He is survived by 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He delighted in watching them grow, cheering them on, attending games and performances, hosting family gatherings, and creating traditions that will live on for generations.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agnes Kuzdas; his mother- and father-in-law, Don Cazier and Virginia Snow Cazier; his beloved daughter, Heather Anne Kuzdas Sutton; and his sister, Pamela Kuzdas Hartman. Though these reunions in heaven bring comfort, his absence here is deeply felt.

Those who knew Adrian knew a man of quiet conviction, steady faith, sharp intellect, and deep loyalty. He believed in hard work, eternal perspective, and showing up for the people who mattered. He was a builder; of circuits, of systems, of testimony, and most importantly, of family.

The world feels steadier because he was here. Heaven is brighter because he has returned home.

Funeral services and interment details will be shared by the family.
