So its been almost eleven years and theres still a void that can never be filled or replaced. Daddy left us on April 21this year.... I just told momma that yall are up there reminiscing about you marching in the Christmas parade. Bea, look at my lil girl strut down the street! That girl is bad! Ha ha! Thats my other daughter right there! So, every year around this time, I thank God for you, your life, your legacy...you are missed tremendously and eleven years later, I still try to call you just to hear your voice. Please hug Daddy for me and sending hugs and kisses to you both. Im a better person for having the both of you in my life.

Hey Mitchell-boo,last week the kids went to Rev Smith's church to sing again and they did well. I love watching them sing with those big smiles on their faces. This was their 1st pay and my baby LoRenzo told Pam, please give me my $1.75, it was so funny. On July the 1st, Rev Jones invited them to sing at the BGC program and they can wait.. I miss you & love you, Carter

To the loved ones, family and friends of Adrienne - I am still in shock after just learning of Adrienne's passing just a few weeks ago. Adrienne and I were best friends during the early years, but lost touch as time moved on. She has always held a special place in my heart and the memories that I have of her will forever be treasured. She blessed all who knew her with her smile and her selfless ways. I pray that all who were touched by her will remember that we each can and do make a difference in the lives of all we touch. May God comfort and keep all of you.

I was so sad and shocked to hear of Adrienne's passing. She and I worked together at Chubb, in the 90's, Adrienne always had a positive word to say and a beautiful smile. She loved her children, husband and mother. I pray nothing but strength through this tough time. God will give you the strength you need to make it through. Much love and peace.

When my aunt and mom told me what was going on with Ms Adrienne. I truly thought she would be ok. In my mind there was no way that she would not be here. Though I have not attended church in a while, I can not imagine going and not seeing her smiling face. Ms Adrienne was one of the sweetest and caring women I have ever met. I am going to miss her nurturing heart. She will be deeply missed by me and my family. My heart goes out to her family. With much love Erica and Aaliyah.

Silestine, I've always envied the close relationship you and your daughter shared. My mom passed away when I was 14. I didn't get to enjoy her as you two have enjoyed each other. Cherish the memories that you've shared. Although her body is gone, she will always be with you in spirit. You and your grandchildren are, and will always be, in my prayers. God bless you and stay strong. Adrienne is now free from all pain and suffering.

IT'S SO HARD TO BELIEVE THAT I JUST SAW HER A FEW MONTHS AGO DANCING AT MY HOME CHURCH. I TRULY REMEMBER ALL THE DAYS WE SANG TOGETHER IN DARNELL'S CHOIR, LAUGHING AT HIM AND CRACKING ON EACH OTHER'S WRONG NOTES. (smile). I DO PRAY GOD'S PEACE AND COMFORT DURING THIS TIME OF GRIEF AND JUST KNOW THAT WE WHO REMAIN ONE DAY SHALL SEE HER AGAIN.

To the Love Ones of our beloved Adrienne:
It is with deepest sympathy that I extend my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation of the life and legacy of our beloved sister Adrienne whom remained "Faithful" until death to the work of the Lord and the ministries that she carried on to do the work of the Lord. Her energy and beautiful smile was always the light of "Caught Up". You could also find her giving praise to God in dance and just her presence in the building of any service. Gone but never will be forgotten. The family will be in my daily thoughts and prayers.
Humbly Submitted,

Adrienne, you will be so very missed. You touched so many lives. I know you touched mine. For all the years I've known you...[ a decade?!+], the memory that revisits me most often is of your singing "Jesus Loves Me" at a teambuilding exercise at Chubb. I have never sang that song the same since, and literally every time I do, I have- and will continue- to think of YOU. When I think of you, Florence, Amanda and I out at lunch in the James Ctr. Plaza, I just remember laughing out loud the whole time. All my love to 'Renzo & Jasmine; please know that your Mother did-and always will-bring a smile to so many faces!

To Adrienne’s Family
Adrienne and I began work at The Saint Paul's Baptist Church on the same day. She was hilarious! She was the type to tell a joke and keep a straight face and I would be cracking up--loud as always. She had a wisdom far beyond her years and reminded me of someone’s Great Grandma when she would say, “I’m not having this foolishness.” I am Roman Catholic and attended Daily Mass prior to going to work. One morning there was a reading by the Apostle Paul from 2 Corinthians 11:1 I wish that you would bear with me in a little foolishness. It tickled me so much I cried! I could just hear Adrienne saying it and tears ran down my face the rest of Mass. I couldn’t wait to get to work to tell her about it. It still brings tears to my eyes.
When I was fired Adrienne kept in contact and would forward job announcements to me. The majority of job announcements were for Protestant denominations. I told her I really wanted a Catholic job so she began sending job announcements for Catholic Charities. She really respected my opinion without belittling me or trying to convince me otherwise. I am really going to miss her until we meet again.
To the family please know that Adrienne was a fabulous friend and co-worker. My love and prayers are with you all.
Your Roman Catholic friend in Christ,
Ruth Winston

Jasmine, Lorenzo, and Mrs. Booker -
I consider myself blessed to have known Adrienne the past twelve years. I miss her wisdom, her friendship and, most of all, her sense of humor. She was a blessing to everyone she met, and thank you for sharing her with me. I cry selfish tears because I can't pick up the phone and share a laugh with her, but I take comfort in knowing that she is resting peacefully with God. Love and peace to you all.

To the family of Adrienne:
Age is irrelevant when God has call on his angel to return home. For God has seen that she has been a good and faithful servant and he needed her back home. I was deeply shocked by her departure, for the last time I saw her we broke bread and shared several laughs together. For the family, just know she is no longer suffering and her seeds(Jasmine and Lorenzo) have been planted on earth, for they are how we see and remember Adrienne.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift that's why it's the "Present". Thank you Adrienne for sharing your gift with us.

I have cried all that I can and now I only look back at all of our childhood memories and remember a time where life was so carefree. I am still in a state of shock, denial, and disbelief that this earth no longer has Adrienne. She was and will continue to be one of the most giving and loving persons that I know. My family sends all of their love and support to you, Aunt Silestine, Jasmine, and Lorenzo, as you experience such a difficult time in your lives. I hope that we can all find peace through this as we learn that life is about how it was lived and not how long it was lived. My love goes to each of you!

To the family of the late Adrienne Booker-Mitchell,
It seems like a life time ago when I met Adrienne in the 6th grade at Henderson Middle School and then graduated with her from George Wythe High School in 1989. We have been planning our 20 year class reunion and to know that next summer we will pay tribute to her memory instead of sitting next to her reminiscing about the good times is a little disheartening. Adrienne was a fun person with a loving spirit. She will truly be missed. I will keep the Booker-Mitchell family in my thoughts and prayers.
