Agatha "Ida" Ciaramitaro Agatha "Ida" (Eremita) Ciaramitaro, 78, of Gloucester, wife of the late Frank Ciaramitaro, passed away on Sunday morning, March 24, 2013 at the Den Mar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rockport. She was born in Terrasini, Sicily, Italy on December 5, 1934, daughter of the late Giovanni and Angelina (Orlando) Eremita. She came to America at the age of 10 with her family to start a new life. She went to public schools and made lots of friends. She also loved going to bingo, cooking and travelling with her friends. Ida lived for many years in the Fort and also worked at O'Donnell Usen for many years. She was a former member of the Madonna Del Rosario Society. Ida will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Janine McGovern wife of the late Charles McGovern of Gloucester; her son, Joseph Ciaramitaro and his wife Diane of Gloucester; grandchildren, Theresa Canning and her husband Corey, Nadine Gallagher and her husband Glenn, John Ciaramitaro and his wife Shelly and Darcy Didion and her husband Roy; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Nicholas Canning, Kevin, Cameron and Ashton Didion and Alba Gallagher; her brother, Salvatore Eremita of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Pina Lancia of St. Louis, MO and Theresa DiGregorio of Scottsdale, AZ and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her Funeral Service will be held in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester on Thursday, March 28, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. The burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Visiting hours in the Greely Funeral Home are on Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Online condolences may be given at www.greelyfuneralhome.com
