Agatha "Mignon" Workman Obituary
of Franklin.
She was born on May 20, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Francis Stanford Hopwood and Alice Mildred (Roach) Hopwood. She married Daniel Keith Workman on May 28,1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He lovingly survives after 59 years of marriage. Other survivors include her daughters, Angela (Adam) Koontz and Anissa (Bill) Johnson; grandchildren, Alaina Johnson, Evan Johnson, and Calvin Koontz; and brother, Joe (Kelley) Hopwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Alice Hopwood.
Mignon was a 1964 graduate of Southport High School going on to attend Indiana Central College (University of Indianapolis). She was a graduate of Indiana Business College. She started her career working at PPG Kokomo in Human Resources. She went on to work at
Franklin College, Northwood Elementary, and in real estate with Mike Watkins Realty. She retired from the Johnson County Prosecutors Office in 2004 after 15 years of dedicated service.
Mignon never met a stranger and would love to make friends wherever she went. She loved to travel with her family often to historical sites throughout the United States. Mignon particularly loved her two trips to England enjoying the beautiful countryside. One of her greatest joys was her three grandchildren. Alaina, Evan, and Calvin were so blessed to be able to stay with Nonnie and Papaw as small children. Of course anyone who ever met Mignon would hear about her wonderful husband, Dan. They were so fortunate to have each other for over 59 years.
Andy Kinsey will conduct a celebration of life service on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:00
p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2889 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Visitation
will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will
follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wheeler Mission at P.O. Box 3085
Indianapolis, Indiana 46206.

So many wonderful memories from our High School Days. The many hours we spent together in band with our clarinets and all the hours we spent in marching practice even in the summer. So sorry I didn´t get to spend time with her in the last few years. Prayers for comfort and peace.
