Agnes Elizabeth McEneaney - "Tudie" to all who knew her, and "Nana" to her 13 grandchildren - passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 2, 2025, at her home in Hobe Sound, Florida.

Born August 3, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Agnes Ford Walsh McNabb and Matthew F. Walsh, Tudie was just weeks younger than the love of her life, James "Jim" Francis McEneaney, Jr. Their story began before they were old enough to write it: next-door neighbors as babies, separated by time and distance with some visits and combined family vacations along the way. As fate would have it, Tudie and Jim wed on July 23, 1960. Their marriage spanned 65 years and was rooted in faith, patience (mostly Tudie's), and deep mutual respect. Often called Jim's "better half," many deemed her a true saint - a sentiment Jim himself would be first to affirm. She was truly the wind beneath his wings. Heaven surely rejoices for their reunion as they dance, banter, and beam with pride at the legacy they spent a lifetime building together.

A 1956 graduate of Villa Maria Academy, Tudie went on to attend Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She worked at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, OH, before taking on her life's greatest work: mother to four adoring children. When time allowed, she returned to work in various roles, including as a school nurse. No matter the setting - personal or professional - she showed the same hallmarks: thoughtfulness, patience, and a gift for putting others at ease.

As the perfect balance of soft-spoken and social, Tudie loved nearly any opportunity to be involved. Whether it was a game of bridge, a tee time, book club, brunch, or a seat on the board of the Women's Club of Lost Lake, she rarely passed up an invitation. She delighted in any excuse to celebrate with loved ones and never missed a milestone. Her grandchildren treasured her thoughtfulness, her famous Chex Mix, and her remarkable ability to stay connected with each of them, near or far. Pineapple décor and a glass of Pinot Grigio will forever serve as fond reminders of her warmth and hospitality.

She is survived by her sisters Rita and Gerry (Charlie); her brothers Johnny (Dee) and Jimmy; and her sisters-in-law Kathy and Toni. She also leaves behind four children Lisa (Barry), Mark (Robyn), Trish (Rick), and Matt (Flo); 13 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and another great grandchild due next year. In addition, she is remembered fondly by countless friends whom she cherished as family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes Ford Walsh McNabb and Matthew F. Walsh, as well as her stepfather, John P. McNabb; her beloved husband, "Jimmy"; one brother, Matt; and two sisters, Helenann and Cathy.

Tudie's family would like to acknowledge and thank her devoted caregivers Marie, Violette, and Linda, and her dedicated nurse Jody. The love and care each lady showed Tudie and the entire family are appreciated beyond measure.

Services celebrating the lives of Jim and Tudie will be held at later dates in both Hobe Sound, FL, and Annapolis, MD. Details will be shared once arrangements are finalized. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, FL.

Tudie was, in every sense, a class act. Caring and humble, intentional and generous, she gave love without judgment and without expectation. She was the behind-the-scenes hero of her family, the definition of grace, and the quiet strength that will continue to hold everyone together. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched - a legacy of love and light for her family to cherish and carry forward.
