Agnes Milota Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 24, 2025.
Agnes Milota (Branicky), passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family November 20, 2025. She was born February 13, 1946 in Slanica, Slovakia. Daughter of Karol and Helen Branicky, she married Peter Milota and emigrated from then Czechoslovakia to the US in 1969.
Beginning their life in the US with family in New York, they soon moved to California to work, then Hawaii and back to California as they raised their family. There are two children, daughter Nicole and son Peter.
Agnes was schooled in and taught nursing in Czechoslovakia, and remained a nurse throughout her life until retirement. Shortly after retirement, Agnes and her husband moved to Arizona to be closer to their grown children. She was a faithful woman who loved God first, and her joy in life was taking care of her family. She loved to bake and cook special things for them to enjoy. She loved to pray, and spend time reading quietly. She loved to laugh, and always had a cute and quick witted response to share.
She was a woman of tremendous selflessness, humility, and integrity; true beauty inside and out. She always thought of others first, and was an incredible wife, mother, and mother-in-law. She is greatly missed, survived by her husband Peter, daughter Nicole, son Peter Jr. and daughter-in-law Alea, and cockatiels Cotton and Pluffy.
