It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Agnes Skjoingstad on November 20, 2025, in Cochrane, Alberta. Agnes left this world peacefully, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Agnes was known for her warm smile—one that seemed to light up every room she entered. Whether she was greeting a friend, offering support, or simply sharing a moment with someone she cared about, her smile carried a brightness that made others feel seen, valued, and instantly at ease.
She was also celebrated for her remarkable can-do attitude. No matter the challenge, Agnes faced life with resilience, optimism, and an unwavering belief in the good. Her determination and steady strength inspired everyone blessed to know her.
One of Agnes’s greatest gifts was her ability to bring people together—often through her delicious baking. Her kitchen was a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and the irresistible smell of homemade treats. Her baked goods were more than recipes; they were her way of showing love, building connection, and creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Born with a generous spirit and a deep capacity to care for others, Agnes spent her life lifting those around her. Her quiet wisdom, her generosity, and her calming presence touched countless lives in lasting ways.
Family was at the heart of everything she did. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend—someone who celebrated every milestone and supported every challenge with grace. She cherished simple moments: sharing stories over coffee, offering comfort without being asked, and welcoming others with open arms.
Agnes’s life was defined by compassion, resilience, and a deep dedication to the people she loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on December 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM where family and friends will gather to honour her remarkable journey and the joy she brought to so many.
May she rest in peace.
